Health centre volunteers needed

Aldershot's new health centre is so large that volunteers are needed to guide people to its 770 rooms when it opens at the end of summer.

The centre, the largest in the UK, cost £28million to construct and will host a large array of treatments and services across its 460,000 square feet. It will offer services that would have previously required a visit to the hospital, such as CT scans.

Project manager Catherine Webster explained: “As the health centre is so big, we need local people to help those who will be using it with directions, information and way finding.”

Volunteers are needed to fill three-hour slots in the morning, afternoon and early evening, Monday to Friday.

For more information on how you can help, call Catherine on 023 8062 7461.

The centre for health is expected to open to the public in August.
